Blue Moon Clay Studio is a fully equipped artist pottery
studio with state of the art wheels, mixers & 4 kilns located
on six acres along the Hudson River in beautiful Washington County.
Blue Moon Clay Gallery features the saggar fired vessel & tile
work of Brenda McMahon as well as Brenda's new Soda Fired work..
Blue Moon is located just 14 miles east of downtown Saratoga Springs
and 7 miles west of downtown Greenwich. The studio is 3.4 miles south
of county route 29 on county route 113 (river road).
The pottery studio is equipped with 4 potter’s wheels, three
electric and one Randall kick wheel; a brent slab roller, two electric
kilns, 3 saggar kilns and a fully equipped glaze/kiln room.
Pottery Classes are held in the quiet comfort of this country setting.
If you come by in daytime, you’ll be struck by the bucolic drive
along the river where family farms still raise cows, goats and chicken,
and old barns stand in the quiet backdrop of the Hudson River. If
you’re lucky enough to take an evening class you’ll be
delighted by the brilliance of the night sky as you head home.
Blue Moon Clay Pottery Studio and Gallery is open to the public
April thru October, weekends and weekdays by appoinment or by chance.
If Brenda is traveling, the gallery is closed. If she's working, you're
welcome to come visit.
